CELTIC’S QUADRUPLE BOOST

BRENDAN RODGERS has received a quadruple boost before the Premiership encounter against Hearts at Parkhead tomorrow afternoon.

It appears doubts have been dispelled over the fitness of Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor and James Forrest ahead of the visit of the struggling Edinburgh team who sit joint bottom of the division alongside Kilmarnock.

The Canadian right-back limped off in the first-half of his nation’s historic 2-1 win over the USA in Kansas, as CQN reported at the weekend.

The injury was diagnosed as a tight hamstring, but it appears Johnston has fully recovered and should be in contention to face Steven Naismith’s club.

IN CONTROL…Cameron Carter-Vickers looks composed in Celtic’s 2-0 win at Easter Road.

Carter-Vickers was spotted wearing a moon boot after the 3-0 derby success at the start of the month and missed his adopted country’s loss to Canada and 1-1 draw with New Zealand.

However, the defensive rock has return to training at Lennoxtown and all indications are that he, too, will be good for the clash in the east end of Glasgow.

Left-back Taylor and evergreen winger Forrest both withdrew from Scotland’s UEFA Nations League squad for the back-to-back losses against Poland and Portugal, but are fit and raring to go against the team who are still looking for their first league win of the season.
