CELTIC will face Falkirk in their Scottish Cup third round game at Parkhead on a Saturday night next month.

The Hoops’ tie with the League One leaders Falkirk will be beamed live on the evening of April 3 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

The holders, bidding for their fifth successive triumph in the national competition, discovered their opponents last night when the Bairns came for a goal down to overcome Arbroath 2-1 at Gayfield, as CQN reported earlier today.

The confrontation will be shown live by satellite channel Premier Sports.

The Cup competition had been put on hold while the lower leagues were suspended as a precaution due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The second round matches are now complete with the major shock coming from the Highlands where Hearts, last season’s runners-up, were toppled 2-1 by part-timers Brora Rangers.
