CELTS FOR HUNGARY?

0

CELTIC could be heading for Hungary in their final hurdle to reach the Champions League group stages for the third successive year.

If the Hoops overcome AEK Athens – with the first leg at Parkhead tonight and the return in Greece on Tuesday – they may miss out on a revenge clash with Malmo.

The Swedes, who knocked out Ronny Deila’s men three years ago, were held to a 1-1 draw at home last night by Vidi, formerly known as Videoton.

After falling behind to a goal from Anders Christiansen in the 62nd minute, the Hungarians equalised through Loic Nego nine minutes later.

With the advantage of an away goal, they will go in to next week’s return leg as favourites to progress.
