Cenkos involvement worth attention

585

There is a realisation that the information issued by Craig Whyte last week is only the beginning of what promises to be weeks of salacious details.  Ownership of Ibrox, Murray Park and other assets purchased by Sevco 5088, a company which Charles Green signed a Companies House form for on 27 December 2012, but which Craig Whyte claims to be a significant interest holder in, is in doubt.

This matter could take weeks to play out and months, or longer, to settle.  The evidence provided thus far is interesting but courts are notoriously more concerned by paperwork than recorded conversations.  If Craig Whyte has paperwork to back his claims he will feel by far the more comfortable of the two parties.

Of more immediate concern will be what Cenkos Securities knew.  Cenkos were the Nominated Advisors for Rangers International’s recent Initial Public Offering and Newco’s directors would have been required to inform them of any claim over assets, no matter how spurious or disputed.

City Regulators move quicker than the courts and will want early information on when Whyte’s claims were made, what was revealed to Cenkos and how the board minute-d these matters.  Keep your eye on this one.

Having used David Longmuir to get at SFL clubs in an attempt to sink league reconstruction plans Charles Green, who has made no secret of his opposition to them, turned to St Mirren chairman Stuart Gilmour.  Gilmour, who was incandescent with outrage last year when SFL clubs refused to make a space in their top flight for Newco, plans to acquiesce.

He should reconsider before the St Mirren board meet to discuss this on Wednesday.

    Evening all.

I have enjoyed looking at the photos of the banner and the CQN support at the rally yesterday. Well done to all concerned– though I think there will have to be another one as not nearly enough support and comment coming from the clubs directly or the football authorities– so keep the banner handy.

On a separate note, here is something that I had completely forgotten about– a tragic tale indeed.

  3. Part of the ”too big to fail syndrome must be the clinging onto anything at all to justify saying we are ‘too big to fail’. The crowd numbers at Celtic is a good example – as soon as they dipped it’s been on the radio as a justification for getting them back to the SPL. What have another club’s attendance figure’s got to do with any Division Three club or any club ? Oh hang on, it’s a special case, yes we have failed but we are too important ! What’s the next thing they’ll jump on ? It certainly won’t be who owns the club or where CG got the moolah to start a new club in div three. You have to ask what would serve sevco fans better, spouting baseless shite or asking specific well thought out questions about the leadership of The Rangers .

Anyway. This £137K – what an unusual figure. Not £130K, or £135K or £140K.

As a starter you could, for example, think it was (rounding up to another 500 quid) payment for 275000 somethings that cost 50p each.

    ==============

The exact figure was £137,500. Here is a post from yesterday which echoes your thoughts-

Also it has been pointed out elsewhere tonight– the sum sent by Whyte to Green— £137,500 works out as exactly 25% of the non refundable deposit sought by D&P as part of the deal.

Now, sometimes I believe in coincidence but…….. it is a really odd and random figure just to transfer into someone’s bank account on a mad mental whim isn’t it?

I know there will be a lot of Killie fans disappointed there team didn’t make the top 6.

On the other hand if they bought shares in Greggs, on the day Boydie returned they would be looking at a nice little 4% return on their investment

  15. Mark 12:41-44

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

    ________________________________________________________________________

I think there are many Celtic fans who come into the widow category and that is very impressive, the Oscar bucket collection showed that, some of the persons who looked to have the least Gave the Most. I also think there are many Christians around the World who do the same because they adhere to The Word.

  16. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!.. Ibrox belongs to the creditors on

You don’t expect them to vote for the manager who has won the SPL and restored some pride in Scottish Football by reaching the last 16 of the CL ……… I mean, come on now, be reasonable ….. And if NEIL wins the Scottish Cup.?……oh, dear ….!!!!!!!!

If Neil is not voted as manager of the year it will simply be another indicator as to what we are up against……

They haven’t yet quite grasped the fact that CFC are the only ‘hope’ for Scottish Football .. and when sevco are liquidated they will be inconsolable…… That’s why they are grasping at the ‘history’ last straw ……. Ah, the irony..!!!

    BRTH,

I think fat Sally , is smart enough to realise that Chuckles ison the ropes right now, and his bargaining power has on paper increased considerably.

I am sure there are some Rankers fans out there thinking that an opportunity to acquire the club may well present itself very soon..it might even be that Fat Sally knows some of them :-)
