I could make the case that Kilmarnock were better against Celtic on Sunday than Hearts were, when the latter won 4-0 at Tynecastle last year. At Rugby Park, Celtic failed to retain possession to anything like an adequate level. The nuances of the pitch were known in advance, I don’t buy it as an excuse.
Players seemed over-anxious to get rid of the ball, most often by sending it forward to players who didn’t have the space necessary to retain possession. A large part of our conventional system relies on passing and movement from central defence. The early loss of Boyata, then Ajer, did Celtic more damage than the pitch.

Tim Horton just received an email from Oz and Sandy’s pal Roddie Mackenzie was aware of his illness Sandy’s wife has been in contact with him.
When Sandy was backup tae Roddie at Airdrie there were a couple of other local lads in the side, Drew Busby who later played for the jambos and Colum McKinley who incidentally is Evan Williams cousin.
One of the Airdie players was having his stag aftera game against us and Drew injured at the time asked the Vale of Leven CSC for a lift tae the game, nae bother big man and he was made more than welcome on the bus.
In another related story a couple of Renton “ladies” had spouses who were being accommodated in Peterheid, when they heard we were playing in Aberdeen they approached the Renton CSC and asked for a lift up and down. They were advised that we would be staying over, which was the cusrtom back then, to which they replied that would suit them and give them more time to spend with their loved ones. On returning to the village they more than gratefully thanked the club.
A similar situation arose when deico went up there, after the journey up they made their own way back down. BTW they weren’t Celtic minded either.
