CELTIC are just 90 minutes away from a £40million Champions League windfall as they prepare for the second leg of their Champions League play-off against LASK in Linz this evening.
Martin O’Neill’s side gave themselves a massive boost at Parkhead last week when three spectacular strikes – a double from Camilo Duran after Benjamin Nygren’s opener – propelled them to a 3-0 victory over the Austrians.
If the Hoops can negotiate a path through what is certain to be a tricky return game then they will go straight through to the league phase of Europe’s elite competition.

When does the draw for the next stage of the Champions League take place?
The ballot for the league phase will take place in Monaco on Thursday evening.
When does the draw start?
It will commence at 5pm UK time.
Where can I watch the draw?
The ballot will be shown live TV via TNT Sports 1. It can also be streamed via the HBO Max App.
Which pot would Celtic be in if they don’t falter in Linz?
Due to their ranking points total, the Hoops’ pot will depend on the results of other games.
If Celtic progress past LASK and Bodo/Glimt and Dinamo Zagreb lose against NEC Nijmegan and Viking respectively, then the Hoops will be in pot 3.
If either Bodo/Glimt or Dinamo Zagreb win their ties, Celts will be in pot 4. Who could Celtic face in the league phase?
As each team will meet two representatives from each pot, Celtic will face two teams from each of pots 1, 2, 3 and 4 regardless of which pot they are in.
This means Celts would face two of the teams from the top pot, which consists of: holders Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
When does the league phase kick off?
The league phase is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, September 8. Celtic will play eight fixtures against eight different opponents, with four games at home and four games away.
