Kairat arrive in Glasgow today after a disruptive trip across the globe. Unlike Celtic when they travel in the opposite direction next week, Kairat cannot keep to their usual body clock routine. It will be midnight in Almaty when tomorrow’s game kicks off – 2am by fulltime. For professional athletes, that’s a challenge.
There are seven Champions League playoff ties this week: five in the champions section, two non-champions. I watched Bodo/Glimt eliminate Lazio from the Europa League quarterfinal in April. Ange Postecoglou (eventually) got the better of them in the semifinal, but I expect them to make the cut against Sturm Graz.
Benfica are likely to progress against Fenerbahce, while I fancy Copenhagen against Basel. Red Star should have enough to overcome Cypriots Pafos. Ferencvaros are not the side they were five years ago, they could fall to Qarabag. As for Brugge? They have traded big this summer, spent €36m and sold €82m of talent. That’s a lot of change to pull together for their trip to Ibrox tonight. The Belgians should still edge it.
With what I am assuming is mischievous ‘paper talk going round, a friend suggested if we are looking for an older striker, it’s a pity Gerd Muller passed away a few years ago. Otherwise, he would have been ideal.

I hope the Celtic board are not lulled into false sense of security – we need to focus on what Celtic need – Rodgers has stated we need freshened up, more spark and energy. The board simply must deliver quality ! anything less will be totally unacceptable!
Bruges lost momentum in the second half, not totally but mainly.
Still retained a bit of a threat though, and will do in the second leg.
Lets hope we can impose our better game on the Kazaks tomorrow and take a lead into next week.
TURKEYBHOY
thanks for the tip only got 12/1 paddy power
Keep them comming
Scott Arfield says the tie is far from over. “Did you aye”
The second half very much a case of game state taking its toll on the match.
When it was in the melting pot, the Huns were eaten alive.
Job done for Brugge.
This is good fun. Dodds is clearly bitter about Martin getting the job and Shortie are giving him a platform to snipe from the sidelines.
Just in ,did I miss anything?
Roll on tomorrow, just do your bit Celtic.
Canny see Vardy coming to Celtic.
Too auld and he knows that daft tippy tappy got Leicester relegated.
Every tackle given against them the ref was surrounded by bears , every tackle on a bear left the bear rolling about . A load of cheats . Martin again proud with the aggression his team showed . How will our boys fair against that attitude. I hope they never heard him .
bring back fergushun
Never mind Kwon yesterday or Brugge spend today PB its all about Celtic and to move forward we need to replace the key we sold the ones who scored to help achieve ie: MOR, KYOGO KHUN.
⏳️
It’s Tom McLaughlin’s round 😂🍻
I never watch the huns but couldn’t resist the “highlights” on Prime.
After the 3rd goal went in there appeared to be a competition among their fans to audition for a remake of Edvard Munch’s Scream.
So effin funny.
And the hun players are still flinging themselves all over the place when anyone tackles them.
Well done Tom McLAUGHLIN.
The slack 2nd half means Bruges manager can kick some arses, the players will be on big money to qualify
Well done Tom McLaughlin, called the result five hours before the game.
Enjoy the bookies money. HH
Goodnight Tims………………….
…and don’t have nightmares!
:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Seen the hun inquest on prime.
McGregor disnae look well.

Martin’s post-much presser is a bunch of their fans asking the questions😂

=================================================
Spot on, it came across like a supporters’ club meeting rather than a press conference.
Can’t decide what’s most tragic – a wee team that acts as if they are a big team or a big team that acts like a wee team!
Not sure if that completely kills off the Vardy deal, but you would certainly think it makes it less likely.
Wonder what Louis Moult is up to these days…….

Well, let’s see.
The blue bogeyman – having lucked through two previous ties – played their first proper team of the season and got their ass handed to them …
… but they also won’t a few throw-ins on the halfway line so those who are feart of them still cling to a slice of their terror.
Well done TML.You got that right.😋
Remember this anyone?
“We are a football club who are about reaching the Champions League and winning trophies. Achieving these goals puts money in the bank, which makes the goals more achievable in future. Leaving money in the bank puts zero money in the pockets of anyone working at Celtic.
Telling fans Celtic have tens of millions in the bank but are waiting to see if they will earn more before spending, is like a sport. They are laughing at us. Celtic fans are being toyed with, largely because information on Celtic’s transfer work is not leaking.”
Someone was certainly laughing at Celtic fans anyway. Some of us. Those who are laughing have never really been laughing at some of us. We know what they are.

The boooooo on the 2nd goal was quite considered
:-)))

I too thought Martin’s presser was an all deid team supporters together. The press kept talking of the players by their first names etc. We know what we have to contend with. Let’s hope Brugge hammer them.
Meeja headlines we should be reading after that result.
Bruggered !
Clubbed.
WATP (Well And Truly Pumped)
Martin talking post match about the fans . The need to stay together , need time to grow , there will be pain along the way , etc.
He really doesn’t have a clue what he’s let himself in for , and he certainly doesn’t know the Ibrox mindset . I almost feel sorry for him…….well , not really .
james forrest.
could you answer a question on your own blog ?
you slagged off Celtic supporter ross McCormick.
he deserves an apology

Your frivolity on this night is an insult to the revolution.
Discipline comrades. Discipline.
Do not be distracted.
Keep your focus.
Retain an iron will.
You must not allow yourself to be taken in by bourgeois distractions which denigrate the purity of the movement.
Only when the proletariat rise up as one against the corrupt powers that …..
Zzzzzzzz
After 20 minutes I was sure my bet was toast.
20 minutes to go I wondered about cashing out, but watching the game I thought Bruges were happy to settle for 3-1 and all I had to worry about was them getting a dodgy penalty.
Glad I stuck with it.
Goodnight.

Shovels out in force at BBC Football Online
Two hours after full time, you know who’s thumping at the hands of some Belgian outfit pushed down to story no.7
If only Newtongrange Star had been playing Hill of Beath Hawthorn tonight … the distraught chaps could have buried the bad news even deeper.
There, there, there, lads.
For me, Brendan’s presser raised concerns over the claimed disconnect between his wants and recruitment.
After that listen, there seemed to me little chance that Brendan will extend his stay with us.
I also felt sorry for Inamura who I thought BR callously rinsed, albeit to make pointed barb at the recruiters.
I’m a big fan of BR – but feel puzzled why the club seem unable to give his the fresh horses he needs to realise his ambitions for us.
Beaut winter day here in VIC – crisp, sunny 11 degrees!

Stuck a wee fiver on Club Brugge to win 3-1 tonight @ 16/1🤞
…………………
Well done TOM.
I also had a few quid on BRUGGES to win 3 – 1 at 16/1.
HH.
Did the Hun ” SUPPORT” create a NEW RECORD last night when after ONLY SEVEN MINUTES of play, some of the ” LOYAL Following” were caught sneaking OUT ?
LOL.
