Champions!

1808

Congratulations to Ronny Deila, his players and supporting cast on becoming Scottish champions, season 2014-15.  The man from Norway has got his team playing flowing, attractive, football, he has improved players throughout the squad, and should be delighted with the shape of the club at the moment.

Congratulations too to the Celtic fans, who recognised the manager and team needed their support, which has been delivered solidly throughout the campaign.

I’m delighted for Aberdeen, who have matched Celtic toe-to-toe against the rest of the league.  It has been a stunning season for a team with comparatively meagre resources.  Motherwell were best of the rest for the last two seasons, but they were miles off the pace, and never reached the consistency of Aberdeen this season.

It’s four in a row for the third time in our history, matching Willie Maley’s team’s achievement in 1908 and Jock’s in 1969.

These are great times to be a Celtic fan, enjoy being champions!

  6. Hope Ronnie is enjoying the winning of the League and is not too distracted to enjoy the Confirmations. He deserves a wee break at home with his family. Thanks, Ronnie for this season. Sorry for the doubts I had leaving Murrayfield that evening, but you have pulled things round and I am convinced that things can get even better in the times ahead.

  8. Put on the radio there and Elbow was on singing….”It’s looking like a beautiful day”

Magic timing and captures the mood. :-)

  9. I remember the dark days when with the aid of Financial doping we were cheated out of Title after Title. At the moment the one man I’m thinking about is Tommy Burns.

Tommy you were special, the very very best, I hope in some crazy way that our joy today can reach and touch you. God Bless Tommy Burns and God Bless the worldwide Celtic family.

Champions again, well done RD and the rest of the team. Skooshed it, missing out on the treble only through blatant cheating.

…And the Glasgow Celtic will be there…

Again! Well I said we should judge Ronny at the end of the season, well he is doing an increasingly good job, his team have both improved and progressed over the course of the season. He has been a good influence on the players, has faith in them not always shown on here, and, here is the if, because we have been here before, he can strengthen the team between now and then, we will have a very good team to support next season. Congratulations to all involved in winning the League Cup and the League, Ronny, John and John in particular. Hail Hail the Mighty Celts!

  21. DUSHANBE BHILLY BHOY on

Paul 67.. any chance you could post your updates “new article posted etc” with a green background and not the colours of our main rivals (red)?

    Always wondered about that.

Today is green and white, as is every day.

  22. Congratulations Celtic!

We won it playing The Glasgow Celtic Way.

I see that the media are leading with “won it without kicking a ball”. Funny, I thought I watched us win 5-0 last night!

It is a pity though that the Dons didnt play their game first. Mind you, I’ll celebrate all weekend now all the same. Sportscene on Sunday night? Hell, yeah!
