Jeffrey Schlupp has been preferred recently to Greg Taylor. They are different types of player; Greg is more comfortable drifting inside to receive a pass, which aligns to the shape Celtic have played this season. If we were going back to Munich, I would pick Jeffrey, games like that are more about defending than progressing the ball, but domestically, Greg is a better fit to how we play.
On this topic. Kieran Tierney is a totally different type of left back to Greg. Kieran is happier getting up and down the wing, he is less comfortable playing inside. Alistair Johnston is another who is most comfortable charging up and down the line.
I expect to see a tactical shift when Kieran arrives in the summer. This will play into Kieran and Alistair’s natural roles, it will also have consequences for what we do in the middle of the park and how the wingers work. For now, though, we should stick to the shape we are prepared for, which means playing Greg Taylor on Saturday.

Some of our fans get too emotionally involved when it comes to the Huns in Europe.
By any discernible measure, Athletic were the far better team last night. They had an XG of 2.3 against the Huns XG of 0.1.
Yes the Huns played with ten but they played with ten because they committed a professional foul to prevent a clear goal scoring opportunity.
Any club in Europe would take an away draw with the return leg at home, regardless of the circumstances.
BSR at 9.13 AM.
A board/Lawwell shill?
Good morning CQN.
Beautiful day today.
Next day we get to see the Celts.
Hoo-ra.
PS – what An Dun said at 9:18am.
Good night for Celtic and coefficients last night.
Country rankings have Poland in 15th and Scotland 14th.
Both Polish teams lost yesterday and look like they are heading out.
Fairly safe now to assume Scotland will hold onto 14th ranking for 2026/27 (season after next).
Why is that important?
Champions of 11th to 14th enter qualifying at Play Off stage (one tie).
That will be our fate next season.
IF (big if) we win the league next season it will also be our fate the following season too.
Direct entry would be preferable of course but this provides some certainty for Brendan, recruitment, preseason scheduling … and the suits of course.
Our objectives seem clear to me
– recruit steadily, gradually improving squad
– get them razor sharp for late August
– use the squad fully across Sep to Jan
– every European game, leave it all out there on the pitch. Weekend will take care of itself
– squeeze every coefficient point we can
– win the league
– ensure seeding in 26/27 CL Play Off
– Go again

The rangers fans on their feet for 100 minutes backing their team. No wonder they do so much better in Europe.
Credit to their team for making Bilbao look really ordinary despite 10 men.
If we don’t make it to the CL next season it will be interesting to see how we get on.
And if our support even turns up.
=≈========================
Why dont you sponsor the new club?
Why dont you sponsor man of the match at the bigot dome.
They do not do better in Europe, they are playing in Europes secondary tournament. How have they done in CL recently..
When we make Champions league B78,when.
And who tf are you to comment on Celtic fans ‘even if the support turns up’? Maybe we should give them all a cheap gin minature, that really would send them running away.
Your comments on Celtic fans are totally hunlike,
Proving only your needy want for them and their bigotry. You are up to your neck in their vile filth,
” Rangers FAIL to WIN any of their last SIX HOME Games”
A Headline that you won’t read in the Press.

HH
BTW – I’ll whisper this one.
I’ve watched bits of Man Utd’s last 3 games
The results have been poor but chunks of their play have been decent.
Clear pattern emerging.
If young Ruben can get two of his type of players into the squad this summer?
They just might be a very good team next season.
An Tearmann
100% correct HH
Maybe he is Bankier?
He was also fond of a pop at the support and might have been a Celtic supporter on his grannies side.
Anyway despite making a bit of a mess of it last Sunday we can still win the league this weekend. Hopefully firing on all cylinders on Saturday and see what happens at Pittodrie.
yes just win our games thats all that matters.
new article posted.
Emma Dodds and Alan Hutton stood outside the tunnel pre-match and were gushing in their praise of the noise being created by the Hun support, to a backdrop of “We’re up to oir knees in Fenian blood”.
Tells us all we need to know about Scottish Football in the 17th — sorry — 21st century.
Burnley78 — I haven’t posted for a while and might have missed something, but I sincerely hope someone has hijacked your CQN account.
