Change underway at SFA, Irish Voice launch

Some of the reaction to Peter Lawwell’s promotion to the top table of the bowling club yesterday was thoroughly entertaining, including some from our own side.  As a rule, I’m happy to germinate nonsense which distracts potential opponents from applying logical analysis to their world, so now THE EVIDENCE is all there!!

The SFA badly need higher calibre board members and, despite some generous assessments (from all sides), Celtic’s influence over the Association has been akin to pushing water up a marble staircase.  The only genuine solutions to Scottish football’s problems will be to the benefit of all clubs, not just the main income generator.  This is the challenge Peter Lawwell should set himself.  By delivering well-funded, competitive football for all, he will best look after the interests of Celtic.  Big changes all round are required.

I was accustomed today by a suggestion that Celtic were about to announce debts of over £30m after investing in some underperforming bonds!  Fortunately the story teller is listening to the wrong people and this is complete fantasy.  At least this nonsense keeps people from reading the accounts and asking by our board blow so much cash on amortisation each year instead of buying players.

Shout out to the newly launched Irish Voice newspaper, issue one of which is now out.  Focussed on “Bringing you all the news from the Irish in Scotland” it’s a really impressive read – and it’s free!  Check it out online here and look out for the paper copy.

Celtic winger Derk Boerrigter says the club have nothing to fear from the top teams in their group of the Champions League.

Barcelona, AC Milan and his former club, Ajax, will battle for supremacy in what has been described as the ‘group of death’.

Ajax, he explained, defied the odds to finish third in a group containing Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City in last year’s competition.

“Last year when I played for Ajax we drew City, Dortmund and Madrid in the group and we came in third and went into the Europa League, so nothing is impossible,” he told the Celtic website.

“But it´s a really amazing group with Milan, Barca and Ajax, of course, and I´m looking forward to all the games.

“I have spoken to a few of my old team-mates at Ajax and they are looking forward to it as well, and the game in Amsterdam will be special.”

It was certainly a strong hint of an out-of-control egomaniac, and an under-control media.

Ffs,that whole suggestion should have had proper journalists salivating at the prospect of destroying a one-man fantasyland.

Turns out, they were salivating over lamb and vino.

And still getting paid by their employer to be someone else’s lapdog.

So we’re agreed then. An inflatable stadium is deemed anti-sedentarist…..

Nobody can change the past. Celtic were cheated more than anyone. None of the teams cheated will receive recompense. Everybody knows I have not liked the silence from Celtic park. However if PL had been complaining like me demanding justice, he would not have been invited onto this board. Being there he can fight for the other things I’ve been complaining about. He can ensure Scottish football becomes fair and equal. He can lever things so the future is good for Celtic and end the Scottish football authorities existence for the soul purpose to support whatever club is playing at Ibrox singing The Billy boys.

This is about the best justice Celtic could ever have hoped for. This is the beginning of the end of the shafting of Celtic.

  7. The fun of the Murrayfield scenario would be that it would be right in the middle of ‘Festival’ time in the Capital……This could bring a whole new ‘thespian’ audience to our club…

As a fully paid up sedentarist I am fed up with the ups and downs of the new Celtic Park.

Put up posters saying that the match is “improvised alternative theatre” and they’ll be queuing down the street..

    Yer probably in a Wine Bar,old bean…

Try asking in an Anglicised accent.

Then pay with a credit card.

Bobby, am ur in a wine bar. It’s a pint of wine I’m waiting on.

Made me laugh, many moons ago we used to drink in the Ragamuffin on Great Western Road, its close proximity to the student accommodation where there were many parties was key. We used to drink pints of wine with Stella chasers!

Bar staff were incredulous, in the early eighties, many a sair heed!

Haha! This makes me look like a health freak. Great stuff!!

  11. That web of paranoia is incredible! Just what are they trying to claim? That there are links between businesses and individuals, some as ground-shattering as… being followers of each other on Twitter. Individuals working within football used to be employed by the same employers… shock horror. Whoever made that obviously spent a lot of time on it – absolute crack-pots!

attetion is a form of attention.

Does that mean attrition is a form of attraction?

    Like,keep asking,eventually you’ll get a yes,or a grudging awright then.
