The seemingly chaotic life of the Scottish Football League chief executive, David Longmuir, appears more predictable after First Division clubs made their feelings on league reconstruction known. Significant amounts of trickle-down money is available from the SPL to second-tier clubs from next season if they vote to merge the league organisations, which is likely to result in an 18 team bottom league. Longmuir managed to put a spoke in the wheels of a considerable majority in favour of reconstruction but his hopes will be denied.
Three weeks ago we reported speculation that Longmuir aspired to a job at Newco Rangers. Yesterday he responded by saying, “I know there are different expressions of conspiracy going on but I don’t deal in conspiracy, I deal in fact and honesty”. You can bookmark that for future reference.
I predict that the conspiracy will soon merge with fact and honesty – if Newco can still afford to recruit next season.

Poor souls. Who’d a thought it? Just shows that the economic crisis is no respecter of hierarchy.

OUR problems are – within the club. imo
This establishment dumping on all things
Celtic – at will – started when – the bored
meekly answered Salmonds call to a Govt
summit after the ‘shame – game’ where Celtic
had – 3 players booked !!!
Celtic should have dragged this can of worms
onto the – world stage – by holding our own
press conference to tell the world – WHY we
wouldn’t be attending Salmonds kangaroo-court.
THAT – was the thing to do. imo
Let all the genies oot the bottles and, there would
have been NO hiding place for the establishment.
But…we all know that – what I suggested didny happen
so – now that the establishment know that – all things
Celtic are fair-game – don’t be surprised to be reading
on here in the coming weeks about – the Kettle-ing of
CQNer’s this weekend as well.
On conclusion….the huns will be liquidated with the stadium
taken from them and that will be that.
Then…I’ll give it 1 year and we’ll be gone as well.

Ask the Board or PL.. To Comment or Make their Feelings Know.. Like 20 Mins after something Happens..
Would You Not prefer Celtic FC.. To look at the Facts.. Get Legal advice x2.. Maybe even Call a Board meeting.. I take it that Could take a Couple of Days/Weeks..
Then Maybe even Ask Lenny his thoughts..
Or Do You want Celtic FC to be Lile SSN and the Like and Just Spout Sh^t every 15Mins..

Longmuir comes from a long standing tradition in Scottish football circles.
He and countless other of Sevconian persuasion have ruled the roost in our game for decades.
Their mission, to engratite themselves with the hordes of Sevconia at all times and keep Timmy down.
Ogilvie , Longmuir, Farry , Smith , Peat ………….. Different names, same agenda.
In spite of some shocking decisions, at least Regan and Doncaster have on occasions shown some impartiality but even their performances since the summer have been Sevconian driven.
A sordid cast that needs to be chased to the hills
Summa
To be fair the board have had since Feb 14th 2012 to comment on the cheating orcs
I don’t think that Celtic “speaking out” about the various issues affecting the game would do much good.
The media would have a field day ridiculing the club for our paranoia and the club’s position would be seriously weakened.
You don’t complain publicly about anything from a position of strength, it only makes you look weak.
I’ve no doubt the club are very active behind the scenes and I’m not bothered in the least if they don’t tell me what they’re doing.
As far as Sevco are concerned, I don’t think we need to do anything other than bide our time.
That may seem like blind faith to some, but I don’t see what good could come of Celtic publicly criticising the “governing” bodies.

Anyway just on to wish everybody the best of luck and it looks as if you will have a nice dry day and hopefully a full George Sq. HH

Agree that we should never have attended Salmond’s summit.
Should have told em to ram it.
However , u seem to be saying Celtic cannot survive without Sevco???
Disagree with that buddy.

Wee quiz/survey for you all. Feel free to answer as per your view:
Neil Lennon should not have to pay a fine for swearing at the St. Mirren game because:
a) He has already been punished enough.
b) Celtic gained no sporting advantage from the swearing.
c) It was all Craig Whyte’s fault.
d) There should be a fine, but it should be applied to Tony Mowbray.

The Boards silence I believe is a major factor in dwindling crowds and season ticket sales.
I am convinced if they stood up for us and unleashed the facts on the SFA/SPL/SFL/Sevco/Chuck our support would be reenergised.
To Hell with what MSM report.
They are nowadays an irrelevance who just report all things from a Sevco slant.

as us for what – 3/4 of a season ?
And…yer no trying to tell me that isny having an effect
on oor crowds ?
Let me put it another way….
the SB-Gun at the heid where – you don’t buy yer SB
means ye don’t get into the 2 hun games – ha s gone !
If by putting in yer SB money you do it to see the club
going forward then, surely you have to ask yerself
“Where does yer SB money go ?”
Because…as far as I see..it disny go back onto the pitch,
it disny get paid in wages any more like it used to…so…
where does it go ?
We’re now at the stage where we’re struggling to win a
one horse race. imo
The CL games = the only time we get full houses !

How can Green get away with termintaing full time staff (physio, staidum manager, agent etc)? Are they that desperate to cut costs that they are prepared to breaching the law of the land and deal with unfair dismissal tribunals later? (More legal fees heading Sevconia’s way)
Or have they promised these guys big pay offs when the ST £ rolls in? I wouldn’t be surprised if they have.
Its only a matter of time before administration….. or as the SMSM will report it, ‘restructuring’.

++++++++++++++++++++++
Who exactly are you saying we should not give our money to and who exactly will be gone as a result?
Do you mean the people on the Celtic Board or that there will be no Board? If no Board who decides club policy and authorises expenditure on players?
How can we not give money to the Board but still somehow pay wages of the players we turn up to watch?
The dilema all Celtic supporters face is paying out hard earned money to watch the team we support play in a competition that we perceive to have an element of fairness over a season or seasons.
Some will decide that on an emotional basis they will continue to do so in spite of misgivings, others might decide that the club have not done enough to ensure fair play and spend their money elsewhere. Others will simply decide that putting food on the table is a greater priority.
Celtic can do nothing about the financial circumstances of the latter but will have to do something to persuade those whose emotional attachment to their self respect is greater than that to the club that they are indeed paying to watch a fair competition fairly governed from Hampden.
However in whatever fashion it turns out, it is far more complex than simply witholding income to remove the Board as I hope I have demonstrated.
There are a total of eleven Celtic Plc and Celtic FAC directors, two of whom – Peter Lawwell and Eric Riley – sit on both boards.
With the possible exception of Lawwell, Ian Bankier, the Great Desmondo and Brian Wilson, would many, indeed, any of us on here recognise them if we passed them in the street?
Paul possibly would.
I certainly would not.
CFC made a statement yet?

I bought an extra season book this year BECAUSE the Scottish football supporters refused to bend the knee.
I will do so again next year if the same happens, I wrote to Peter Lawwell and stated this, he gave me a good POSITIVE letter in response.
I go to watch Celtic, the football this season has been more competative, we’ve not been great post CL games but we don’t have the RIGHT to 3 points, other clubs are coming at us at home and away, this will be good for our game.
If they can make some cash by finishing higher, staying in cups longer, getting a few European games, they will keep their younger stars and better players.
We’ve made a fortune from the CL and should restructure our callender to accomodate the 3 CL Pre-qualifiers every close season to keep the bucks and the BIG games rolling in.
The Hun were an irrelevance in the 80’S, Scottish clubs were winning in Europe, the national side qualified for EVERY tournament, leagues went to the last day with different contenders, HUGE travelling support came to Celtic Park.
Scottish football was destroyed by Rangers, let’s give it a chance to rebuild.
