I often wear a suit while posting on cqn.

    Worryingly it’s my birthday suit.

    Reassuringly, I’m alone…..

    These things may be related!

I await Miss Karma’s arrival with considerable impatience.

Good tribute to Claudio Ranieri on Italian radio.

Started with a collection of quotes from people like Lineker / Redknapp / Shearer / The Special One etc pouring scorn on his appointment – ” he’ll be gone by Christmas “etc – and finished with him saying this.

” I seem to have gone from being a clown to being Mr Wonderful.Such is life -“

Just remembered that Celtic are playing Leicester in a pre-season friendly on July 23. To be the best in the UK then?

  8. Hamiltontim,

Just read back. My congratulations to you and minx1888. God bless you both.

Thanks for kind words. Charlie Gallagher will always typify for me playing football the Glasgow Celtic way.

    Tony,

It says a lot about his mindset when he says Izzy was his hero and idol, yet he still ruthlessly took his place in the team.

Well done Chelsea! [a first for me]

    Very well done Leicester!!

Of course you have to feel sorry for all the 7,8 and 9 year olds that have been bitten by the Foxes this season, and who think every year will be like this.

The Leicester story has rescued what has been a pretty dismal season.

And superbly well done to ole H/Tim and the bonnie wee Minx.

Ole Job- I usually body swerve the pre season games, but I will definitely be goin’ to the Leicester fixture.

  12. Morning all.

Very best wishes to HAMILTONTIM and MINX1888.

…and a very well done to Claudio Ranieri and his Leicester City team.

William Hill`s odds for title next season:

    Celtic 1/3

    ” Rangers ” 9/4

    Aberdeen 12/1

    Hearts 33/1

Before money put on, the bookies are not guided by sentiment. Do they know something we don`t?

Again I don’t want to put a dampner on the Leicester City achievement but how can a team win a league when their accounts from the previous year have not been approved and are still being investigated for rule breaches?

Will the fact they finished top of the league influence the final outcome of the investigation?

There have , on occasions, been little debates on here about what constitutes a real Celtic supporter. Here is an example of two very real Celtic supporters:

” Ps we spoke about a Christmas/Easter wedding and it was H that said we can’t in case Celtic are playing! ”

Congratulations to you both but particularly to HT. He has got the better deal !! 0:-)

BRTH- next you’ll be puttin’ a dampener on the triumph of the cash strapped scrofulous hillbillies in the ole Petrofac.

” I just hope I can keep on playing for Celtic. That’s all I want.”

Another half a dozen with that attitude would do the trick!

” He’s been great for me. I will forever be thankful because if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am. ”

Maybe stories that Ronny had lost the Dressing Room did not tell the whole story.

PS Your point, nevertheless, is still valid.

  20. Just reading back, excellent news for HT and Minx.

Even if Leicester are found to have broken rules, any sporting penalties imposed will not affect their achievements this season.

It’s also fair to say that the English governing bodies are as fair and transparent as any other.

Tickets now on sale on Ticketmaster for Aviva stadium on 30 July 2016 but dear oh dear 136 Euros (2nd cheapest) for a pair of tickets for basically a training friendly is way far too expensive especially during the school holidays

Is it the case that notice has to be given to Stock Exchange of the name of our new manager before any public statement can be made? Not sure of all the legal niceties. Thanks in advance. HH

    Quids in –

Italian radio on Claudio Ranieri’s contract –

    £ 1.5 million a season .

    A bonus for avoiding relegation

    £ 100k for every place above 18th .

A bonus for Europa League qualification .

A bonus for Champions League qualification

A bonus for winning the EPL .

Allegedly Claudio played hardball in response to a contract which made it easy for him to be removed if he was deemed to be” failing” .( no shortage of that in Claudio’s career ) . . Radio man then listed these –

    Sacked by Napoli .

    Mutually consented at Fiorentina.

    Mutually consented at Atletico Madrid

    Sacked by Chelsea

    Sacked by Valencia

    Sacked by Parma

    Sacked by Juve

    Forced to resign at Roma

    Mutually consented at Monaco

    Sacked by Inter

    Sacked by Greece.
