HEARTS are demanding that Celtic skipper Scott Brown is hammered for labelling Jamie Walker a cheat and a diver after losing their appeal against the midfielder’s two-game ban.
The player was punished by the SFA after being found guilty of an act of simulation which won his team a penalty-kick during their 2-1 Premiership defeat against the champions at Tynecastle on Sunday.
Despite making a personal appearance at Hampden yesterday to fight his corner, Walker failed to get the suspension overturned.
The Edinburgh side are reported to be raging with the outcome and now hope the Hoops midfield man will also land in trouble for his aftermatch comments.
They may be considering a direct approach to the SFA.
Brown said: “It’s brilliant how well he dives. He is really good at that. He should be in Rio.
“It was a dive. Cheat. What else can you say? The referee came out at half-time and said he got it completely wrong.”
Despite the blustering from Tynecastle, Brown appears to have been vindicated, especially as the SFA have upheld Walker’s two game suspension.
