RYAN CHRISTIE has sealed his cut-price move to Championship side Bournemouth.

The Celtic midfielder was also wanted by Burnley, but chose the south coast side after being impressed by manager Scott Parker, as CQN reported this morning.

Christie, who is currently on World Cup duty with Scotland for tomorrow night’s tie against Denmark in Copenhagen, was due to come out of contract at the end of the year when he could have walked away foe free.

The Hoops can expect around £1million for the 26-year-old playmaker who cost £500,000 from Inverness Caley Thistle in the summer of 2015.

Christie has been a first-team regular since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou who made no secret of the fact he wanted the Highlander to remain at the club, according to the Daily Record.

However, the playmaker, who scored 41 goals in 150 games, has consistently rejected enhanced terms from the Hoops hierarchy while insisting he wanted to sample football across the border.
