CHRISTIE TO AGREE £1m SWITCH

RYAN CHRISTIE has edged closer to a Celtic exit with Bournemouth prepared to pay a bargain £1million for the Scotland international midfielder.

The Championship side’s boss Scott Parker has been talking to the 26-year-old playmaker who is due to come out of contract at the turn of the year.

Premier League outfit Burnley have also shown their interest, but Christie appears to be swayed in the direction of the south coast club, according to a report in the Bournemouth Echo.

The Highlander, who joined the Hoops in a £500,000 deal from Inverness Caley Thistle on September 1 2015 and spent two spells on loan at Aberdeen, scored 41 goals in 151 appearances for the Parkhead men.

Like Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer, Christie’s form stalled last season in the midst of transfer speculation.

The French striker will rubber-stamp a switch to Crystal Palace today while the Norwegian defender joined Brentford last month.

In up-front fees, the Hoops will rake in something in the region of £30million for the trio.

Christie will seal the deal in London today before switching his attention to the international scene. The 20 times-capped star is part of Steve Clarke’s Scotland World Cup squad with a game due in Denmark tomorrow night before the tie against Moldova at Hampden on Saturday and the conclusion of the triple-header in Austria a week today.
