Churning players out the door who are not making the grade is part of the job of running a football squad.
Oh Hyeon-gyu didn’t get many opportunities at Celtic but failed to make enough of the ones he got. He could still go well after a reset in Belgium with Genk. Getting our money back in the player is an added bonus.

I hope Davie – Old Tim – enjoyed a fine birthday. Many happy returns.
Damn good bit of business getting our money back on Oh. Lots of attributes at face value, but one of those players for whom the whole was somehow less than the sum of his parts.

Good afternoon sir.

Posted on previous blog.
With the Euros now over its back to the football Celtic Glasgow the only show in town.
This week will see confirmation of players that have already left, or are leaving it seems we’re now making vast profits on our “ duds “ the next update will be when the plane and who is on it, departs for the USA. Oh hyeon-gyu to Genk for 100% profit and added to the whisper it “ £100M bank balance “ rightfully puts more pressure on Celtic to keep in line, with football booming Britain.
We look forward to a world class net spend, now carefully monitored by back of fag packet police now on full amber alert. The latest FSR deflections won’t prevent the calls for transfers in, even if it’s just to cover Brendan’s ‘key positions’. From a football perspective we can well afford a higher level of investment in the squad even from a PLC perspective, there are better uses for the money than money gathering dust in a bank.
So much cash in hand, we’ll easily guard Kerrydale Street’s balls.
Heartbreaking news to report. My wonderful dad, the reason Im a Celtic fan, passed away very suddenly but very peacefully last Monday around this time. Although he wasnt a poster here, he did lurk most days. I had the pleaseure of working with him through our family business until his retirement 10 years ago (wasnt always good!). Thankfully we were all with him for his final moments and even my eldest son Niall made it from Galway (3 hours away) in time. 79 well lived years. A wonderful thing I only just heard in past few days was that his love for the Celtic came from his dad who was born in 1896 and whos love came from his dad before him. So now I know my family, The Grays, have been supporting Celtic since 1988 and are well into our 5th generation!!!!
Im a very proud man.

What have we learned from the signing of Oh? Actually, who is learning? Where is the corporate memory in this?
How do we ensure future signings are more effective?
Analyse and improve.
His numbers per minute were better than Idah’s. The difference (which is important) is Idah did it when it mattered.

May your Dad rest in peace.
He was also very unpolished and doubt he’d get the chance to polish himself up for us.

Also at DC with the family and at least one other CQNer that didn’t fall far from the tree….
We will base ourselves out of the DC CSC at Irelands Four Courts pub in Arlington – short metro or Uber to the game.
Like you, you will be able to spot us by the fact we will be wearing a varied ensemble of green, white and other colours.

May your dad rest in peace – look after yourself and treasure the memories.
It can sometimes be overlooked, understandably so, that in our desire to strengthen this summer, we’ve quite a lot to move out as well – a task made much larger after last summer’s window.
Oh is a start. We’ve quite a few more to move out.
Condolences on your loss, GREENGRAY1967.

After a Celtic win I’m usually dancing on the bar. Which is a sight to behold. 😂

Sorry to hear the loss of your dad
Churning is not something you would need to do if you had a well thought out and successful recruitment policy. Which apparently we do…..
Oh was never going to be the answer
Interesting that our Japanese recruitment is working out much better than our South Korean
But if all the click bait speculation is to be believed we are shopping in Europe this summer
I get a sense this window that Brendan means business
Patience needed

From a hun website, they don’t seem to be too happy with their manager 😅🤣
“In other words, contradictions, confusion, and yet more mixed messages from this manager who quite frankly spouts as much rubbish as Michael Beale did.
The last time Rangers had a truly honest manager was Giovanni van Bronckhorst – not flawless, and often very cryptic with his comments, but never contradicted himself, and certainly not to the frequency that Clement does”
Good afternoon all from the Victoria Bar. Embdy up for a bevvy?🍻😁
