CITY DEALT De BRUYNE BLOW AHEAD OF CELTIC SHOWDOWN

Yes KEVIN DE BRUYNE is set to miss Manchester City’s trip to Glasgow on Wednesday after limping off during his sides 3-1 win at Swansea.

The Belgian attacker was substituted late on after pulling up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

When asked how severe the injury was City Manager Pep Guardiola said he did not know and would have to wait in a medical report.

“It looks like it was muscular, but I am not a doctor. It is a pity because he is an important player,” he added.

“That’s why we have to have a big squad as everyone will help us.”

The 25 year-old has been a key performer in Guardiola’s resurgence at City since taking over in June and the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager rated him as one of the best he’s ever worked with, second only to Messi.

Celtic will be looking to take advantage of this major blow to City’s attack and get their first points on the board following the heavy 7-0 defeat in Barcelona a fortnight ago.
