Election is lost- Corbyn will resign and a new Labour Leader will be elected. Does not matter where in the Party – they come from- Right, Centre or Left will be monstered by a Right wing owned Press and media. Harold Wilson was a Soviet or Chinese Spy, James Callaghan was owned by the Union Far Left, Neil Kinnock was a hothead who could not be trusted with a nuclear button, Michael Foot was an unkempt jakie, David Milliband had stabbed his brother in the back and was the son of a jewish Commie, and now Corbyn is an anti-semite and a bad man, somehow. The only Labour Leader to get a bye from this treatment was Blair because he did a deal with the Dirty Digger, the man whose methods led to the mobile phones of murdered girls being hacked. Blair’s deal was not extended to Gordon Brown and we were back to a dour, depressed Scot who single handedly created a world wide recession. And the rise of social media will not save us from monied influence of our political views. It is easier and cheaper to hire bots and hackers to do this work than it is to buy journos. And Independence won’t save us from this trend either- every market is fair game and Scottish Tories will have more influence to buy votes than any “natural” left-wing or “looking after oor ain folk” voters can resist. We will just replace Westminster centralism with Embra centralism and your region, your town, your street will still have to bow to the majority view. That is the essence of Democracy- the best form of government there is- but terribly susceptible to bought influence. We might like to think that we are immune to such influence but there’s a good reason they spend so much on attempts to influence- because it works. They can make brands of drinks, perfumes and handbags more cool than others and they can make political parties look, if not “cool”, then better than the other poisoned options will do. And they do it in front of our eyes- it’s not very hidden or conspiratorial at all. All you need are friends in high places.
The Celts made too many changes for a good result. I’d have done the exact same thing, given the Luxury, our Hard Work afforded us.
I think Karamoko looks an inch taller than the last time I seen him. Good. He’d have never been close if this game wasn’t so (unreal for us) irrelevant with bigger fish to fry.
I voted for Jeremy’s Labour in Dumbarton to stop the SNP, I hope others did as well. Its a choice so, I hope as many as possible exercised their Democratic right to vote.
Lenny went with a tactical choice Sunday, it didnae work, Leigh is still way aff Match sharpness/possibly fitness. Last night will have been good for him and a few others.
Why we playing 4 Domestic games in the toughest Month, and the Newco are playing 3 before December 29th?
Och aye.
Bring it on Sevvie Co.

It is fair to say I’m always a tactical voter in these very strange late days.
I Know Nothing though.
Celtic is Not getting 9 or even 10 in a row Easily.
We need to realise they are a very decent Team now.
More Time off for those playing constantly. Scott Robertson looked Superb to me late in the game, as did Olivier Later on. I’d never heard of him until he was on the bench.
You use the terms socialism and communism interchangeably, but you want to, quite rightly, differentiate capitalism from fascism.
You got an appropriate answer on “socialism” earlier on tonight but, until you get your listening and processing ears on, there isn’t an adult debate to be had with you.
We have to prepare for the next 5 years of Getting Brexit Done when we are only 0.5% of the way through that process.
I hope the austerity that ensues will prompt a re-think of the “Thank You guv, for that kick in the balls” attitude from sections of our working classes.
It’s gonna be a hard lesson- enjoy your celebrations!
Goodnight

macjay1,
Agreed.
Rangers are indeed a decent team .
No negative to us from that.
They push us, we improve .
I`m the archetypal socialist. I will respect whatever the people decide. And support their decision even if it conflicts with my personal preference .
Sad socialism seeks to impose its mandates on the proles.
For the record, I think the sanctimonious way you put down others views is despicable, the way you hide and evade answering when you are pulled up and proven wring by the lijes of Canamalar shows the type of person you are. I also think you personally have driven people away from this blog.
Give it 20 years and Australia will be controlled by the type of people you are scared of.

Just a brief indulgence this time.
You use the terms socialism and communism interchangeably, but you want to, quite rightly, differentiate capitalism from fascism.
Unlikely that you will believe this , however the democratic process requires CREDIBLE alternatives.
Corbyn is not , and never will be.
Labour must now ( without assuming the result ) elect a more centrist leader to provide a serious challenge to the possibility of a silly move to the right on the part of Boris.
A buffoon , yes , but somehow electable.
Respect the will of the people tonight and move the agenda and the debate to the centre where all of us can play a part without concerns about stupid lurches to the extremities of the right or left.
That is where civilised countries reside.

On a positive Sinn Fein could take Nigel Dodds seat in North Belfast, That would be massive. They will lose to SDLP in Foyle, reckon Unionist & Alliance Voters have switched to SDLP to stymie Sinn Fein in that one.
Also looks certain that Alliance will take North Down. Sylvia Harmon Independent Unionist held that seat for years, she stood down this time and DUP were overwhelming favourites to win it.

The exit poll has been very precise in the last 2 elections.
Corbyn has destroyed the Labour heartlands, helped by the likes of McCluskey.
Sad times. Disastrous situation, especially for us in Scotland who never wanted Brexit.
Scunnered is too weak a word for what I feel at this moment.
Plucky sevco are going for 2 wins in 5 games at fir park on sunday
An error on this historical scale needed by some tonight

Indeed
Happy to play the fringe players and get the night out of the way. 15 points now the aim to see us into 2020.
Watched last 15 mins of sevco match. Awful from both teams. We need to get back to CL asap.
If exit polls are right, remainers can blame the lib dems.
I’m happy enough. Johnson and his sea border will hasten a United Ireland.

Corbyn has destroyed the Labour heartlands
—
that is utter bolllocks
the folk in the old labour heartlands in the north of england are unemployed these days because of tory austerity
but they have been conned into thinking its because of the immigrants taking their jobs
so if they vote for boris or nigel everything will be good
i think they are going to find out otherwise
and i didnt vote for corbyn
So I guess tonight answered the big question.
Why has Sinclair not been picked recently?
scottish independence and irish unity have both been on an unstoppable road for the last few years.
the politics of the right wing fascists are over in both our countries
will take longer in ireland to come to fruition than it will in scotland though
but eventually both will happen
With a tory majority, Scotland isn’t getting an indyref2 anytime soon

Happy birthday mate, from one of the gaelic speakers in Canada. 🤣👍☘🇮🇪🇨🇦
Tories have taken Blyth Valley from Labour, that is really catastrophic for Labour
Labour Vote down 10% Tories up 5%. Time to go to bed.
On a happier note didn’t realise it was Almore’s Birthday/
Happy Birthday, Mo chara.,
Happy Birthday Almore I hope you had a good one.
Sad night for human decency.
The politics of self and greed and nearly naked racism win the day.
Sad and pathetic that labour got itself into this position.
I wonder how Jim Murphy and those labour folk who colluded with the tidies to keep us beholden to the Tory little Englanders.
Tough times

Democracy is good.
The will of the people is good.
Refusal to honour the stated will of the people in a referendum is NOT good.
