God only knows how a HGV driver feels in those conditions. Whilst there were a lot less of them, there were still far too many.

Belated thanks for your cut-and-paste job last night of the fud’s fud at The Herald. Was on and off the blog, largely off. Sad reading in some ways, given the past standards, and some excellent writers, at that journal.

Although statistically we have a v good defensive record this season I think most fans are apprehensive about our back line whether a 3 or a 4.
The advent of 3-5-2 reflects Lennys risk/reward nature and I believe most supporters are enthused by the attacking power it gives us. On the other hand it inevitably provides space which active opponents may exploit.
The alternative system ‘seems’ to make us duller, safer but more solid at the back.
Maybe like me most have a dilemma about the way to go.
Whether it’s 3 or 4 I think the main issue has been the disruption due to injuries. Our defenders have never had established partners for any length of time. Perhaps and hopefully, we are passed peak injury and first pick for a 3 system and one for 4 will solidify things and bring more confidence and comfort to us fans?

Agree re: the concern at time around defence at times. However, as you point out, it seems to allow us to spend more time up the park breaking down the kind of packed defences that play against us in the SPL.
So – 3 at the back works for me when playing most SPL teams. But it needs to be flexible enough to change as circumstances arise.
Ely is an Incredible player, Celtic have a few of them.
The fixtures congestion is gonnae be like nothing ever seen before, IMO.
Lenny will be facing Good challenges no other Manager has faced before…. a lot better than the bad wans he had to endure.
