Cognitive Dissonance with Pressley always in middle of controversy

738

Stephen Pressley’s Falkirk team did well at Hampden yesterday but the manager did himself no credit with his half time rant at the referee, who chopped off a perfectly good Celtic goal but annoyed Pressley for awarding a penalty when Thomas Rogne was hauled to the ground.

An irritated Pressley, who always seems to be the one in the middle of any controversy, then gave an inexplicable post-match interview to the BBC, demonstrating as clear a case of Cognitive Dissonance you are likely to find outside of a textbook.  At the time he, apparently, hadn’t seen a TV replay of the penalty incident, made no attempt to claim Darren Dods was innocent of the alleged discretion, nor did he suggest the referee had erred, but he was clearly troubled trying to reconcile these facts with his feeling of being wronged.

To all aspiring Cognitive Dissonance posters in the CQN comments section, new standards have been set. You are a bunch of amateurs with functioning resolution pathways and have no future in the game.

He wont go mid-season after the pelters he has taken from fans and media, he has a point to prove.

  3. Looking forward the end of the phony war that is the transfer window. I think we must be about 6-0 up now over Rangers in the most recent transfer windows, so not reading too much into the positive outcomes so far. A win at Inverness and then at Hearts would be a much bigger boost than the sale of big Jela.

Still it’s good to have something to laugh about…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_Defragmenter_(Windows)

Microsoft is applying these updates. These updates are fixes and improvements that they continually make to their software normally windows to improve matters.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892894

Microsoft windows does this either at a specified time or when you reboot (IT DEPENDS ON WHAT SETTINGS YOU HAVE CHOSEN)

Microsoft uses INTERNET EXPLORER to do this activity

If you have removed it it can´t do these updates it´s busy searching for a program you have deleted or moved.

I suggest you temporarily switch off these automatic updates until you have installed INTERNET EXPLORER the program that the updates needs that you have deleted

and then install Internet explorer (see my previous posts)

and then switch on Microsoft updates again

DONT DELETE INTERNET EXPLORER IF YOU HAVE FOUND ANOTHER BROWSER LIKE CHROME OR NESTSCAPE AS IT IS PAR OF THE MICROSOFT WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM

  5. Mark Wilson is poised to sign a loan deal with Leeds United until the end of the season.

Wilson’s last competitive game for Celtic was in the 0-0 draw at home to Hibs in October.

Last week he made his return from injury in a development side match away to Leeds where he’ll be reunited with Darren O’Dea at the Yorkshire club.

Celtic youngsters James Keatings and Lewis Toshney are expected to complete loan moves to St Johnstone and Kilmarnock.

Aw come on. He’s got two years on his contract and as far as i can tell he is Lazios top scorer.

    That makes no sense.

  8. Think Johnny is a good bet and the other 2 are just pie in the sky neither klose or janko fit our recent M.O. for players. both over 25 with a wealth of experience and little sell on value in case of Klose. either would be awesome, but wont hold my breath

you can start the system in safe mode

    read this.

    http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

once you have it in safe mode (That means a windows system without any network capability and few drivers but you only want to switch of this automatic updating until you have RESTORED THE internet explorer program

What I would then do if I was you would be to switch off all automatic updates until you have the internet explorer installed and it is working.

You can check by using internet explorer yourself ….. if it is browsing no problem then you have it back (internet explorer)

you can then restart the automatic update feature again once all is well.

This is normally 60 quid an hour stuff Kittoch …I expect you to agree with all my opinions from now on ;-))))))))))))))))

I didn’t delete IE, it wanted to defrag and switched itself off, it allows me to select safe mode but then goes back into the consigning 3 update cycle and goes round and round

I am willing to bet that your deleted internet explorer program is still in your waste basket and can be restored.

If not then switching off the updates until you have restored one (either from the internet , from CD or from copying somebody elses -you´ll need an USB stick or a copy on CD)

your PC will function fine for months UNTIL you need to use INTERNET EXPLORER again (i.e automatic updates)

Haha! I’d love to believe that this is just a total PR stunt aimed at demoralising the huns. That would be hilarious.

To be honest, I’ve been among Lawwell’s fiercest critics, but this time around I honestly don’t think we need to strengthen any more, mainly because Neil Lennon has done such a brilliant job.

This isn’t complacency, just an assessment of our squad compared to theirs.
