COLBY DONOVAN has joined Celtic’s worrying list of crocks after being stretchered off in Scotland Under-21s’ 2-0 win in Gibraltar last night.
The 19-year-old right-back collapsed three minutes after the interval during his country’s European qualifier.
Donovan was caught by a late challenge from an opponent as he attempted a clearance. He toppled to the pitch in obvious distress before being treated by the medical staff.
Play was halted for almost four minutes before a stretcher was called and the player was taken for further examination of his damaged ankle in a nearby ambulance.

ON THE BALL…Colby Donovan in action during Celtic’s 2-1 win at Kilmarnock in September.
Team boss Scot Gemmill, speaking to the Scottish Sun, said: “I don’t know the full extent of it.
“It’s a case of wait and see, but he’s in good spirits and, hopefully, it was just precautionary.”
The Scots were leading through a 19th-minute strike from Hearts’ James Wilson at the time and St Johnstone winger Taylor Steven sealed the win with a second in the 80th minute.
Donovan’s injury is yet another setback for the champions with first-choice right-back Alistair Johnston already ruled out for a lengthy period.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kelechi Iheanacho, Marcelo Saracchi and Callum Osmand are also on the injury list while Filipe Jota has not figured since April.
