RB LEIPZIG head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl has inistsed Celtic target Marvin Compper will NOT be allowed to leave the club next month.
The 32-year-old centre-half was reported to be at the top of Brendan Rodgers’ wish list as he attempted to strengthen his squad.
The Bundesliga outfit had previously been willing to let Compper to leave in the next window because of a lack of game time.
But they have been struggling recently with injuries and they were forced to use the Germany cap for 45 minutes in their weekend draw with Mainz.
And Hasenhuttl has now told Compper he will have to wait until the summer to leave the club he’s been at for three years.
He said: “I don’t want to get rid of any player in January. It’s a squad game and we need them all, especially as we have had a lot of injuries recently.
“Also, Marvin has never come to me and said he’s unhappy or put in a transfer request.
“So, he will be here until the summer at least.”
