The Mexico international right-back, on loan from Bournemouth, is replaced by Colby Donovan.
Kieran Tierney returns to the left-back position after missing out at Ibrox last weekend.
Liam Scales, partnered by Benjamin Arthur in central defence, continues to captain the team in the absence of the injured Callum McGregor.
