CONFIRMED: BAIN IN FOR FRENCH TEST

1

SCOTT BAIN will make his first Celtic appearance against Nice tonight since he played in the 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Clyde at Broadwood on February 9.

The keeper gets the nod from Neil Lennon for the opening game of the three-match warm-up in France as football comes out of cold storage after lockdown in mid-March.

The Hoops gaffer has selected a strong line-up to kick off the Veolia Trophy at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon.

The nine-in-a-row champions will take on hosts, with old favourite Moussa Dembele up front, on Saturday evening and then complete the mini tour with a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital on Tuesday night.

Scott Brown will again captain the team as they prepare for the real thing, the Premiership commencement against Hamilton Accies at Parkhead on Sunday, August 2.

TEAM: Bain, Frimpong, Jullien, Ajer, Taylor; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard. Subs: Doohan, Hazard, Bitton, Klimala, Soro, Ntcham, Bolingoli, Connell, Robertson, Elhamed, Henderson, McInroy, Welsh, Dembele.
