BRENDAN RODGERS has given the nod for Paulo Bernardo to start ahead of £11million man Arne Engels against Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.
The Belgian turned in a superb performance in the 4-0 win over St Johnstone at Parkhead at the weekend, but will be on the substitutes’ bench for the 3pm kick-off.
As anticipated, Callum McGregor returns to the starting line-up with Greg Taylor and Daizen Maeda back in position. Alex Valle and Yang Hyun-jun join Engels in the stand-by squad.
TEAM: Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; Bernardo, McGregor, Hatate; Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda. Subs: Sinisalo, Trusty, Valle, Palma, Idah, Yang, McCowan, Engels and Ralston.
The champions go into the encounter after winning 3-0 at Parkhead in September and with the chance of opening up a SEVENTEEN-POINT gap at the Premiership pinnacle.
