CONFIRMED: BOLINGOLI BACK

FORGOTTEN man Boli Bolingoli makes a dramatic return for Celtic in their Premiership encounter against Livingston in West Lothian this afternoon.

The blundering Belgian, who made only a cameo appearance against Kilmarnock on August 7 last year following his inexplicable Covid-busting trip to Spain, is the surprise inclusion at left-back for his first competitive appearance of the season.

Bolingoli is one of four changes in Ange Postecoglou’s line-up from the side that lost 4-3 to Real Betis in the Europa League Group G opener in Seville on Thursday.

Liel Abada returns on the right wing after observing Yom Kippur while James McCarthy makes his first Hoops start after making four substitute appearances.

Stephen Welsh also returns to central defence with Carl Starfelt dropping out of the squad.

Long-term crock Mikey Johnston, whose campaign was wrecked last season, returns to the bench.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Welsh, Carter-Vickers, Bolingoli; Turnbull, Rogic, McCarthy; Abada, Ajeti, Jota. Subs: Bain, Scales, Bitton, Soro, Johnston, Montgomery and Ralston.
