CONFIRMED: BROONY RETURNS

SKIPPER Scott Brown will lead Celtic in the warm-up game against Ross County at Parkhead this afternoon which has a 1pm kick-off.

The midfielder was left out last weekend’s 4-0 loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital as a precautionary measure by boss Neil Lennon.

It will be the Hoops’ first game in the east end of Glasgow since the premature conclusion to last season when they beat St Mirren 5-0 with goals from Leigh Griffiths (3), Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor.

Reports of a return to action for Griffiths, who was left at Lennoxtown to train on his own after coming back from the four-month lockdown overweight, proved to be off the mark.

It’s the first part of a double-header for the Hoops as they take on Hibs tomorrow, both matches, of course, being played behind closed doors.

TEAM: Bain; Frimpong, Jullien, Ajer, Taylor; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard. Subs: Hazard, Klimala, Connell, McInroy, Welsh, Dembele.
