SCOTT BROWN will start tonight’s Premiership game against Motherwell as one of Brendan Rodgers’ SEVEN changes from the team that beat Aberdeen to win the Betfred League Cup on Sunday.

The skipper hasn’t been in the starting line-up since being injured in the 4-2 win over Hibs at Parkhead on October 20.

He came on as a substute against the Dons at Hampden as the club clinched trophy No.7 during the manager’s two and a half year reign.

Rodgers has decided to utilise his squad with a series of eight tough fixtures coming up before the turn of the year.

Craig Gordon returns to goal behind a back four which sees Mikael Lustig make way for Cristian Gamboa and Jozo Simunovic come in for the injured Dedryck Boyata.

Brown will be accompanied in midfield by Jonny Hayes and Olivier Ntcham as Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Scott Sinclair drop onto the bench.

Leigh Griffiths will also lead the attack in place of £10million French striker Odsonne Edouard.

TEAM: Gordon; Gamboa, Simunovic, Benkovic, Tierney; Brown, McGregor, Christie; Hayes, Ntcham; Griffiths. Subs: Bain, Hendry, Izaguirre. Sinclair, Forrest, Rogic, Edouard.
