CONFIRMED: CALMAC RETURNS

1

CAPTAIN Callum McGregor has made a quickfire return to first-team action as he lines up against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox side in a 60,000 sell-out at Parkhead this evening.

The influential Celtic midfielder has missed the Premiership games against Hearts and Dundee United after receiving a facial injury in the Scottish Cup roughhouse at Alloa last month.

The comeback of McGregor is one of four changes Ange Postecoglou has made to the starting eleven with Josip Juranovic, Greg Taylor and Filipe Jota also in the team.

Daizen Maeda has returned from international duty with Japan and the pacy striker will take his place on the substitutes’ bench.

Celtic will go top of the league if they can win against their Glasgow neighbours.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; O’Riley, Hatate, McGregor; Abada, Giakoumakis, Jota. Subs: Bain, Scales, Soro, McCarthy, Maeda, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh and Doak.
