CELTIC will face Hearts in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Tynecastle on Saturday March 11 with a 12.15pm kick-off.
The date was confirmed this morning and the match will be screened live by Viaplay satellite station.
The broadcasters decided against pushing the start back to 5.30pm, as they did with the Hoops’ fifth round tie against St Mirren which Ange Postecoglou’s men won 5-1 at Parkhead at the weekend.
On the previous occasion the Hoops played at Tynecastle on October 22, left-back Greg Taylor, with his first league goal for the club, hit the winner in a rollicking 4-3 triumph that was laced with contoversial VAR interruptions.
All four last-eight ties will be broadcast live with the action getting underway on Friday, March 10 with Inverness Caley Thistle hosting Kilmarnock. The game will commence at 7.45pm and be screened live on BBC Scotland.
After Celtic’s match in the capital, Viaplay will also beam live the tie at Ibrox where Michael Beale’s outfit take on Championship side Raith Rovers on Sunday with a 1pm kick-off.
The quarter-finals conclude on Monday evening as League One Falkirk host Championship side Ayr United with BBC Scotland screening that match starting at 7.45pm.
