CONFIRMED: CELTIC PROVISIONAL SQUAD

1

CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN is back in the Celtic squad for the Europa League play-off against Sarajevo in Bosnia tonight.

The £7million French central defender missed last week’s 1-0 win over FC Riga in Latvia and the 3-0 victory over Hibs at Parkhead on Sunday with a back problem.

However, he has fully recovered and travelled with the player pool and will be in contention for a place in the middle of the rearguard alongside Shane Duffy and Kristoffer Ajer, according to the Daily Record.

Albian Ajeti, the Swiss international striker who hit the second goal against the Easter Road visitors to notch up his fifth since his £5million arrival from West Ham, is out with a hamstring injury.

He is also likely to sit out the Premiership encounter with St Johnstone in Perth on Sunday, but hopes to be fit in time to play in his first derby when Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit arrive in the east end of Glasgow on Saturday, October 17.

Winger James Forrest, unfortunately, will miss the upcoming fixtures with an ankle injury that will also see him sidelined for Scotland’s international triple-header against Israel, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Barkas, Bain, Hazard, Elhamed, Bitton, Duffy, Ajer, Jullien, Frimpong, Taylor, Brown, Christie, Ntcham, McGregor, Elyounoussi, Edouard, Klimala, Turnbull, Soro and Griffiths.
