CONFIRMED: CELTIC v DONS SEMI-FINAL DATE

1

CELTIC will play Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday, November 1.

The last-four tie was, of course, cancelled last season due to the coronavirus pandemic as Neil Lennon’s men zeroed in on the quadruple treble.

The ninth successive title was heading back to Parkhead with the Hoops leading by 13 points with only eight games to play and the League Cup had been won in December with a 1-0 success over Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side at the national stadium where Christopher Jullien was the matchwinner.

The Parkhead men were due to play the Dons in March in the 2019/20 competition before football went into cold storage.

Celtic will face Derek McInnes’ Pittodrie outfit with a 2.30 pm kick-off – a day after Hibs and Hearts meet in their semi which has a 5pm start.

The tie will be shown exclusively live by Premier Sports.

Both matches will be played behind closed doors following the introduction of fresh coronavirus restrictions.
The Cup Final is due to be played at a date still to be announced in December.
