CELTIC’S Champions League dates against Austria’s LASK have been confirmed.

The Hoops will play the first leg of their qualifying encounter at Parkhead a fortnight tomorrow (August 19) with the return fixture the following Tuesday (25).

Martin O’Neill will have new Bhoys Kasper Hogh, the club’s record £11million-plus buy from Bodo/Glimt, and Camilo Duran, the £5.5million arrival from Qarabag, in his 25-man squad which must be submitted to UEFA by 10.59pm a week on Thursday.

WATCHING BRIEF…Martin O’Neill keeps an eye on Celtic in the champions’ 1-0 opening-day Premiership triumph over Dundee at Parkhead.

The Hoops boss will be hoping to have more recruits in his player pool by the time the opening tie against dangerous opponents rolls round.

UEFA regulations allow clubs to add up to two further eligible players by 10.59pm on the day before the first leg.

Scotland’s title kings, who kicked off their quest for a sixth successive crown with a 1-0 win over Dundee in the east end of Glasgow last night, are just two games away from the £40million bonanza that awaits the winners in the league phase of Europe’s elite competition.

Defeat would see Celtic drop into the Europa League for the second successive season after last year’s calamity against Kazakhstan minnows Kairat Almaty.
