CONFIRMED: CELTIC’S SATURDAY EVENING KICK-OFF

CELTIC will play Hibs in the Betfred League Cup semi-final at Hampden on Saturday November 2 with a 5.30pm kick-off.

The evening start was confirmed by the SPFL this afternoon after news this morning the holders would be playing the first tie, as CQN reported.

The Hoops are used to unusual venues and starting times in the competition after the previous season’s last-four meeting with Hearts was played at Murrayfield, which was practically a home game for the Edinburgh club.

It was also a 1.30pm kick-off on Sunday, October 28 which made arrangements difficult for some travelling fans.

Now it’s an evening start in Glasgow with BT Sport covering the game live.

The other semi between Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side and Craig Levein’s Tynecastle outfit will be played the following day with a 3pm kick-off. That, too, will be shown live by BT Sport.

The SPFL have also finalised ticketing for the games, with standard tickets for the west and east stands costing £25. Seats in the north stand are priced at £30 each while south stand tickets range from £30 to £35.
