CONFIRMED: CHRISTIE, DUFFY IN

1

RYAN CHRISTIE and Shane Duffy have been given the nod by Neil Lennon to face St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park in the High Noon encounter today.

The Scotland international playmaker, who scored an exquisite goal after his introduction in the 4-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley in midweek, comes in for Albian Ajeti who drops to the substitutes’ bench.

Republic of Ireland captain Duffy, who has had a torrid time at his boyhood heroes following his loan move from Brighton in the summer, comes in at centre-back for Stephen Welsh who was crocked in the match against Jim Goodwin’s side after a late lunge from opposing striker Jonathan Obika.

The 21-year-old defender was stretchered off, but, thankfully, the injury proved to be bad bruising rather than a break. The Hoops kid, after appearances in the previous wins against Kilmarnock and Motherwell, has failed to pass a late fitness test for the match against the Perth outfit.

TEAM: Bain; Kenny, Ajer, Duffy, Taylor; Brown, Turnbull, Rogic, McGregor, Christie; Edouard. Subs: Barkas, Griffiths, Ajeti Klimala, Soro, Johnston, Elyounoussi, Ralston and Laxalt.
