CONFIRMED: DEMBELE LEADS ATTACK

0

BRENDAN RODGERShas given the role of leading the attack in today’s Scottish Cup semi-final to Moussa Dembele, the scourge of Sevco.

The French Under-21 international striker scored in the 3-2 win at Ibrox last month.

Dembele thumped a hat-trick beyond Wes Foderingham in the first Glasgow derby last season as Rodgers’ men romped to a 5-1 triumph.

He netted the winner in the League Cup semi-final and was also on target in the 2-1 triumph at Ibrox on Hogmanay.

Leigh Griffiths, who got the winner against Hamilton Accies last week, will start on the subs’ bench.

Rodgers is looking to extend his unbeaten run against Graeme Murty’s side to 10 games on the bounce.

The Hoops boss has made three changes to the team that beat Accies 2-1 with James Forrest and Tom Rogic replacing Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair in midfield, while Craig Gordon takes over from Scott Bain in goal.

The winners of this afternoon’s encounter will face Motherwell in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden on May 19.

TEAM: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Ajer, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Rogic, McGregor; Dembele. Subs: Bain, Simunovic, Kouassi, Roberts, Sinclair, Edouard and Griffiths.
