CONFIRMED: EDOUARD LEADS LINE

0

NEIL LENNON has made seven changes to his starting line-up for the visit of Hibs this afternoon – and Odsonne Edouard is in from the start.

The Celtic manager went with an experimental side in the 2-0 loss against Cluj in Romania in the meaningless Europa League Group E encounter on Thursday, but will field a full-strength team as the champions pursue three crucial points to stay top of the table.

Last week’s Hampden hero Fraser Forster returns in goal Nir Bitton, Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer will perform in front of him. Jeremie Frimpong, Scott Brown, Boli Bolingoli, Olivier Ntcham and Callum McGregor will protect the backline and supply ammunition for James Forrest and Edouard.

Craig Gordon, Greg Taylor, Leigh Griffiths, Moritz Bauer, Tom Rogic, Lewis Morgan and Vakoun Issouf Bayo are all on the substitutes’ bench, but there is no place for Mohamed Elyounoussi who toiled last week and didn’t make the trip to Romania.

The last time the two sides met was in the Hoops’ 5-2 Betfred League Cup semi-final win at the national Stadium last month while the sides fought out a 1-1 draw at Easter Road in September.

TEAM: Forster; Bitton, Jullien, Ajer; Frimpong, Brown, Bolingoli, Ntcham, McGregor; Forrest, Edouard. Subs: Gordon, Taylor, Griffiths, Bayo, Bauer, Morgan and Rogic.
