CONFIRMED: EDOUARD OUT, ROGIC IN

ODSONNE EDOUARD has been dropped to the substitutes’ bench for the second leg of the Europa League play-off final against AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands tonight.

The French frontman, the Hoops’ top scorer with 22 strikes last season, makes way with Tom Rogic coming on from the start to the team that thrashed St Mirren 6-0 at Parkhead at the weekend.

The switch will mean Kiyogo Furuhashi leading the line with Ryan Christie operating on the left as Ange Postecoglou takes his side into an intriguing confrontation against the Dutch outfit leading 2-0 from last week’s first game in Glasgow with goals from Kyogo and a James Forrest deflected drive.

The struggling Scotland international winger misses out altogether on this occasion.

Japanese frontman Kyogo has scored six goals in six starts for the team and was outstanding in the first meeting with AZ Alkmaar.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Welsh, Starfelt, Taylor; Rogic, McGregor, Turnbull; Abada, Kyogo, Christie. Subs: Bain, Barkas, Ajeti, Soro, Edouard, Bolingoli, Urhoghide, Shaw and Robertson.
