CONFIRMED: FORREST REWARD

CELTIC’S Premier Sports League Cup semi-final goal hero James Forrest has been given his reward with a place in Ange Postecoglou’s starting line-up against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena tonight with a 5.45pm kick-off.

The 30-year-old Scotland international winger was brought on as a 69th-minute substitute against St Johnstone on Saturday and four minutes later fired in the goal that ensured a Final showdown against Hibs at Hampden on Sunday December 19.

Forrest for Liel Abada is the only change from the formation that kicked off against the Perth outfit that goes into action against the Bundesliga club in the second last outing in Europa League Group G.

Favourable results in Leverkusen and in Seville where Real Betis take on Ferencvaros at the same time could lead to a dramatic finale between Postecoglou’s men and the Spaniards in Glasgow in a fortnight.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; Turnbull, Bitton, McGregor; Forrest, Kyogo, Jota. Subs: Bain, Oluwayemi, Scales, Ajeti, Abada, Soro, McCarthy, Johnston, Urhoghide, Shaw, Murray, Montgomery.
