CONFIRMED: GIAKOUMAKIS STARTS, KYOGO ON BENCH

KYOGO FURUHASHI starts on the substitutes’ bench for the Premiership encounter with Livingston at Parkhead this afternoon with Giorgos Giakoumakis leading the attack.

The Greek frontman netted a debut goal when he was named in the line-up to kick off against St Johnstone last week and has been given the nod again by Ange Postecoglou to lead the attack against the West Lothian outfit.

Nir Bitton replaces the injured Tom Rogic, while Liel Abada is in for Mikey Johnston, who is also among the stand-by squad.

James Forrest and James McCarthy, who have been battling against injury, also get a place on the bench.

Livi were the last team to beat the Hoops in domestic competition when they won 1-0 at home in September in a confrontation which was dominated by the visitors, but decided by David Martindale’s team’s solitary shot on target.

Postecoglou can see his side go top of the Premiership for the first time in his reign if they triumph in the east end of Glasgow today.

TEAM: Hart: Ralston, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Juranovic; Turnbull, McGregor, Bitton; Abada, Giakoumakis, Jota. Subs: Bain, Kyogo, McCarthy, Johnston, Forrest, Montgomery, Welsh.
