CONFIRMED: HAZARD IN DEBUT

1

NORTHERN IRELAND international keeper Conor Hazard has been handed his Celtic first-team debut against Lille in the final game in the disastrous Europa League campaign.

The 22-year-old netminder is one of several changes from the side that drew 1-1 with St Johnstone at Parkhead on Sunday.

Hazard, who made 11 appearances on loan at Dundee last season, gets the nod ahead of Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain from Neil Lennon to face the French outfit in a meaningless match in the east end of Glasgow. The defence has conceded a massive 17 goals during a wretched campaign.

Shane Duffy, Ismaila Soro, Patryk Klimala and Mohamed Elyounoussi also earn starting places.

The Hoops go into the encounter with hust one point from a possible 15 in Group H. They earned their solitary draw in France with a 2-2 stalemate in France.

Skipper Scott Brown is given a rest and is among the stand-by squad which includes Leigh Griffiths.

TEAM: Hazard; Julien, Duffy, Ajer; Frimpong, Soro, Turnbull, McGregor, Laxalt; Klimala, Elyounoussi. Subs: Barkas, Bain, Taylor, Brown, Griffiths, Ajeti, Rogic, Edouard, Henderson, Harper, Welsh.
