CONFIRMED: IDEGUCHI, GIAKOUMAKIS START

JAPANESE new Bhoy Yosuke Ideguchi will make his first start for Celtic in this evening Scottish Cup opener against Alloa at the Indodrill Stadium.

The midfielder, who came on for countryman Reo Hatate in the 65th minute of the 2-0 win over Hibs at Parkhead on Monday, gets the nod from Ange Postecoglou to come into his line-up for the kick-off.

Greek striker Giorgos Giakoumakis, who also figured off the bench against the Easter Road side, will partner Daizen Maeda in a two-pronged attack in the fourth round encounter.

Anthony Ralston, Liam Scales and Stephen Welsh also start while Christopher Jullien, who has been out for 13 months following knee suregry, gets a place among the stand-by squad. There is no sign of US international centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers in the manager’s stripped pool of players.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Welsh, Starfelt, Scales; Abada, Rogic, Ideguchi, McGregor; Maeda, Giakoumakis. Subs: Bain, Taylor, Jullien, Bitton, McCarthy, Juranovic, Jota, Hatate, Forrest.
