CONFIRMED: JOTA IN, TURNBULL ON BENCH

1

FILIPE JOTA returns to the Celtic line-up for the visit of Ross County this afternoon.

The flamboyant Portuguese flyer, who was not included in the squad for the 3-0 Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Dundee United at Tannadice on Monday, has been griven the green light to face Malky Mackay’s Highlanders.

As expected, David Turnbull is back in the pool of players after an absence of 17 games to take his place on the substitutes’ bench. The injured James Forrest drops out.

Tom Rogic, who came on at the interval for Reo Hatate on Tayside, is in from the start with Matt O’Riley also moving into the stand-by squad.

Today is the third meeting between the sides in this campaign with the Hoops winning the first in the east end of Glasgow 3-0 with a debut goal from Cameron Carter-Vickers and a double from Albian Ajeti.

It took a stoppage-time header from Anthony Ralston to give the visitors three points in a 2-1 victory in Dingwall before the turn of the year.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Taylor; Rogic, McGregor, Hatate; Jota, Giakoumakis, Maeda. Subs: Bain, Bitton, Abada, Turnbull, McCarthy, Johnston, Ideguchi, O’Riley and Ralston.
