CONFIRMED: JOTA, O’RILEY START

1

FILIPE JOTA and Matt O’Riley return for Celtic against Aberdeen at Pittodrie tonight.

They step in for Giorgos Giakoumakis and Tom Rogic, a two-goal star in the 4-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park at the weekend, for the crucial Premiership confrontation with Stephen Glass’ Dons outfit.

Jota hit the late winning goal when the teams met in the north east in October while the on-loan Portuguese winger was also on target when the Hoops won 2-1 in Glasgow against Scott Brown and Co the following month. Skipper Callum McGregor claimed the points-clincher on that occasion.

There is no sign of Josip Juranovic who came on as an 80th-minute substutute for Greg Taylor against Well on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s men go into the encounter a point ahead at the Premiership pinnacle while Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side take on Shaun Maloney’s Hibs team at Ibrox.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Starfelt, Taylor; O’Riley, McGregor, Hatate; Abada, Maeda and Jota. Subs: Bain, Scales, Bitton, Giakoumakis, McCarthy, Rogic, Johnston, Forrest, Welsh.
