CONFIRMED: JURANOVIC RETURNS

1

JOSIP JURANOVIC, who sat out the 3-3 draw with Rapid Vienna in Austria at the weekend, has recovered from injury to take his place tonight.

The Croatian international full-back will face Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic as Ange Posetcoglou’s side play their third game in seven days.

The champions overcame Austrian Third Division outfit Weiner Viktoria 7-0 last week before stepping up their preparations on Saturday where Matt O’Riley, David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi scored the goals.

All three start against the Czechs with Juranovic in the right-back position while Greg Taylor is on the opposite flank.

Argentinian Alexandro Bernabei, the Hoops’ recent £3.75million buy, is among 16 stand-by players with the manager certain to make wholesale changes at some stage.

TEAM: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Taylor; Turnbull, McGregor, O’Riley, Turnbull; Jota, Kyogo, Forrest. Subs: Bain, Siegrist, Oluwayemi, Jullien, Giakoumakis, Ajeti, Abada, McCarthy, Johnston, Ideguchi, Kenny, Bernabei, Urhoghide, Lawal, Ralston and Vata.
