CONFIRMED: KLIMALA PARTNERS EDOUARD

1

PATRYK KLIMALA will team up with Odsonne Edouard to lead the line against St Mirren in Paisley tonight.

The Polish hitman, who scored the fifth goal in the 5-0 win over Ross County in Dingwall at the weekend, gets the nod from Neil Lennon to partner the French ace while Albian Ajeti moves to the substitutes’ bench.

The Swiss attacker has scored three goals in three appearances, but the Hoops boss has elected to leave him out of his starting line-up on this occasion.

Hatem Abd Elhamed and Greg Taylor return at wing back while Ryan Christie comes back into midfield. All three sat out the Highland Fling.

Shane Duffy, who also scored against County on his debut, keeps his place in central defence where he will be partnered by Kristoffer Ajer with Christopher Jullien also on the bench.

The last time the teams met was in March, in what would be the final fixtures of the 2019/20 campaign, when Leigh Griffiths fired in a hat-trick as the champions triumphed 5-0 in the east end of Glasgow.

TEAM: Barkas; Elhamed, Duffy, Ajer, Taylor; Forrest, Brown, McGregor, Christie; Klimala, Edouard. Subs: Bain, Jullien, Bitton, Ajeti, Soro, Turnbull, Ntcham, Elyounoussi, Frimpong.
