PATRYK KLIMALA will lead Celtic in this afternoon’s warm-up game against Hibs at Parkhead – with Leigh Griffiths poised to make his comeback at some stage.
The £3.5million Polish striker, who scored his first Hoops goal in the 1-1 draw with Nice in France earlier this month, has worked hard during the four-month lockdown in an effort to hit the new season running.
The new bulked-up Klimala will get another opportunity to impress Neil Lennon who brought in the frontman in January.
Klimala made only four appearances – three as substitute – in the run-in in the nine-in-a-row campaign and will be aiming to put in a good shift against the Easter Roadside today, the game kicking off at 1.30pm.
Irish international keeper Conor Hazard makes a rare start with Ross Doohan as back-up.
Ironically, Doohan played AGAINST Celtic yesterday in the club’s 2-0 win over Ross County with the youngster named as a traillist for the Highlanders.
TEAM: Hazard; Elhamed, Welsh, McInroy, Ralston; Ntcham, Robertson, Soro, Henderson, Dembele; Klimala. Subs: Doohan, Connell, Griffiths.
