CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers has paired Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah up front in the absence of injured wingers Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda against Ross County in Dingwall this afternoon.

Alex Valle and Reo Hatate come in with Greg Taylor and Luke McCowan drop to the substitutes’ bench.

TEAM: Schmeichel; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Trusty, Valle; Engels, McGregor, Hatate; Yang, Idah, Kyogo. Subs: Sinisalo, Taylor, Scales, McCowan, Kenny, Bernardo, Montgomery, Cummings and Ralston.

Earlier today we asked how much you could remember about past connections with the Highland outfit in CQN‘s fun five-minute quiz to test your knowledge.

Now we repeat those questions and provide the answers.

DOUBLE TAKE…Kasper Schmeichel dives to save Ronan Hale’s penalty-kick in Dingwall, but the Irishman (below) scores with the retake. (See Question 4.)

QUESTIONS:

1: Anthony Ralston scored a memorable stoppage-time winner for the Hoops in a 2-1 triumph at County on December 15 2021. Who scored the visitors’ first goal that evening?

2: Later in Ange Postecoglou’s debut title-winning season in 2021/22, Celtic won 2-0 on April 24 2021. Can you remember the marksmen?

3: Celtic won 3-1 in Dingwall the following season. Kyogo Furuhashi and Liel Abada claimed goals either side of one from an on-loan central defender who left the Hoops at the turn of that year. Can you remember his name?

4: True or false: Kasper Schmeichel conceded his first Premiership goal against Ross County?

5: Brendan Rodgers kick-started his second spell as manager with an opening-day 4-2 win over the Highlanders at Parkhead on August 5 2023. Who played his last game for Celtic that afternoon?

ANSWERS:

1: Liel Abada.

2: Kyogo Furuhashi and Filipe Jota.

3: Moritz Jenz.

4: True. Kasper Schmeichel conceded his first goal to Ross County on October 6 last year when Ronan Hale netted with a twice-taken penalty-kick after the Danish keeper had saved the first attempt.

5: Carl Starfelt.

Well done if you got five out of five. Go to the top of the class!
