DAIZEN MAEDA has dropped out of the starting line-up for tonight’s Europea League encounter against FC Midtyjlland in Denmark.
The Japanese ace, who started the Premir Sports League Cup win over Rangers on Sunday, drops to the stand-by squad alongside his countryman Reo Hatate.
James Forrest has been given the nod to take Maeda’s wide right role with Johnny Kenny leading the attack and Sebastian Tounekti on the left.
Kieran Tierney, a 78th-minute sub for Marcelo Saracchi at Hampden, is in for the kick-off.
TEAM: Schmeichel; Ralston, Trusty, Scales, Tierney; Nygren, McGregor, Engels; Forrest, Kenny, Tounekti. Subs: Sinisalo, Doohan, Balikwisha, McCowan, Yang, Osmand, Bernardo, Saracchi, Maeda, Hatate, Murray and Donovan.
It will be the Hoops’ fourth game in the competition after a 1-1 draw with Red Star in Belgrade, a 2-0 loss to Sporting Braga and a 2-1 win over Sturm Graz, both at Parkhead.
Earlier today, we asked how much you could remember about past associations with Danish players and teams in CQN‘s fun five-minute quiz.
Now we repeat those questions and provide the answers.
