CONFIRMED: MAEDA, SARACCHI START

0

DAIZEN MAEDA is in from the start against Danny Rohl’s Ibrox side in the Premier Sports League Cup semi-final at Hampden this afternoon.

Interim boss Martin O’Neill was sufficiently impressed by the Japanese forward in his cameo role in the 4-0 win over Falkirk on Wednesday to give him the nod the start after missing the previous losses against Dundee and Hearts.

It looks as though Maeda will play on the wing with Johnny Kenny, who netted two in midweek, leading the attack.

On-loan Marcelo Saracchi is again in at left-back with Kieran Tierney among the stand-by squad.

TEAM: Schmeichel; Ralston, Trusty, Scales, Saracchi; Nygren, McGregor, Engels; Maeda, Kenny and Tounekti. Subs: Sinisalo, Balikwisha, Yang, McCowan, Osmand, Hatate, Murray, Forrest and Tierney.

Earlier today, we asked you how much you could remember about Celtic’s recent encounters against the Govan club in CQN’s fun five-minute quiz to test your knowledge.

Now we repeat those questions and provide the answers.
